Battery Tech Specialist | (Cell)ing Top Talent Into Innovative US Battery Tech Companies

As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a skilled BMS Systems Integration Engineer to support and validate the integration of their advanced battery software solutions into electric vehicles and other battery-powered devices. This position requires exceptional technical expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and hands-on experience with battery systems and EVs.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate seamless integration of embedded and cloud-based battery software solutions into EVs and battery systems across varying sizes.
• Collaborate with customers to integrate Battery Management System (BMS) solutions into battery packs and vehicles.
• Design, execute, and analyze pack- and vehicle-level testing activities, connecting vehicle performance with battery performance.
• Define and document system-level requirements, constraints, and test specifications.
• Provide on-site support for customer integration activities as needed.
• Source, collect, structure, and analyze large data sets from vehicles undergoing road verification tests.
• Work closely with internal teams (battery algorithm, software product, and customer support) to ensure successful integration and testing.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges, propose solutions, and develop innovative methods for systems analysis and verification.
• Optimize processes and integrate software quality standards for automotive industry compliance (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262).
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in systems integration, vehicle testing, or validation within the automotive sector, preferably with EVs.
• Strong expertise in embedded software development and architecture for electric vehicles.
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of battery systems, BMS validation, and EV technology.
• Proven track record in testing and validating software/controls solutions in vehicle electrification or ADAS applications.
• Experience working with vehicle EE architectures, CAN communication networks, and large automotive data systems.
• Familiarity with system modeling, model-based engineering tools, or model-based code generation is a plus.
• Background in a fast-paced start-up or VC/PE-backed environment is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred but not required).
