Position: Systems Integration Engineer
Description:
The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrations between various cloud-based applications and on-premises systems. They ensure seamless data flow and system compatibility within both internal and client environments, while also optimizing system performance and security, documenting processes, and troubleshooting issues.
Key responsibilities include:

Architecture and Design: Analyze business needs and identify integration opportunities; collaborate with cross-functional teams; plan and design integration solutions with focus on data flow, security, and scalability; assess and optimize infrastructure and applications for performance and cost-effectiveness.

Implementation and Migration: Implement integrations based on design specifications; migrate existing systems and data with minimal disruption and data loss; configure environments including networks, security settings, and access controls; optimize system performance and security during implementation.

Integration and Connectivity: Ensure seamless connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud applications using VPNs, APIs, or other integration methods; work with APIs for communication and data exchange; conduct testing to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems.

Security and Compliance: Document integration processes and workflows; implement security measures to protect cloud environments and data; maintain up-to-date knowledge of security practices and emerging technologies.

Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve integration and connectivity issues; provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (preferred). 10+ years of IT industry experience. Proven experience with cloud-based application and on-premises systems integrations. Proficiency with integration tools and platforms. Experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure, and other cloud technologies. Solid understanding of networking and cloud security principles. Experience with APIs, workflow automation, database queries, and reporting. Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, REST, and SOAP. Experience with OAuth 2.0, SAML, and related protocols. Hands-on experience with the Microsoft cloud stack. Knowledge of Entra ID, SSO, LDAP, SCIM, and webhooks. Proven ability to independently resolve complex technical issues. Aptitude to manage multiple projects, tasks, and challenges. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to facilitate cross-departmental discussions and work within a team environment. Capacity for taking ownership and working with minimal supervision.
