This is a 12-week paid learning experience during which you’ll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. What It’s Like

As a member of a cybersecurity team responsible for using automation tools to find vulnerable code, your role would involve regularly scanning and analyzing codebases to identify security weaknesses. You'll leverage automated tools to streamline the detection process and ensure comprehensive coverage.

What You’ll Do

Participate in T-Mobile’s continuous improvement of its software security posture and creating solutions that reduce costs using automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and drive change to remove security gaps in the architecture using tools like Aptori and Wiz

  • Contribute to T-Mobile’s ongoing efforts to enhance its software security posture by identifying and implementing best practices.

  • Create and deploy automation tools to streamline security processes, reducing manual effort and associated costs.

  • Conduct regular security audits and code reviews to ensure compliance with security standards and identify areas for improvement.

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, leveraging automation to improve response times and effectiveness.

What It Takes

  • Experience with API development and architecture

  • Knowledge of software vulnerabilities (CVE, CWE)

  • Basic familiarity with Python and OpenAI or ChatGPT API

  • Basic knowledge of off the shelf security tools

  • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or related are a plus!

  • Software engineering, cyber security engineering, and DevOps Engineering

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Must have graduated within the last 12-months, OR be actively enrolled in a Bachelors or Graduate degree program

  • Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internships

Employer does not sponsor work visas for this position. Note that this also applies to individuals who are students in F-1 status who desire sponsorship after they complete their education.

Relocation assistance may be provided to program participants who reside more than 50 miles from the internship location.

Intern wages range from $20/hour to $40/hour. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on experience/location.
