Job Description Skid Steer Operator Company Overview: Sunshine Enterprise USA is currently seeking a Skid Steer Operator to support a concrete contrition team. The Skid Steer Operator will work on commercial, DOT and residential projects including curb, sidewalk, gutter, ramps and other flatwork as needed.
Position Overview: Our client is looking someone with experience operating a Skid Steer and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
A skid steer operator is responsible for operating a skid steer loader to perform various tasks, such as digging, grading, hauling, and material handling. Skid steers are versatile machines with a small turning radius that make them ideal for use in construction, landscaping, and other industries.
The primary job duties of a skid steer operator include:
- Operating the skid steer loader safely and efficiently to perform various tasks as directed by a supervisor or project manager.
- Inspecting the skid steer and performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear at all times.
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and to the desired quality standards.
- Reporting any equipment issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Besides these primary responsibilities, skid steer operators may also be required to perform other duties as assigned, such as operating other types of equipment, assisting with manual labor, and performing administrative tasks related to their work. Skid steer operators must be physically fit, able to work in all weathers, and possess good communication skills. They should also have a valid driver's license and any necessary certifications or licenses for operating heavy equipment.
