The position is in the Office of Program Development and Implementation (OPDI), Office of the Director (OD), Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency for the District of Columbia (CSOSA). The Agency is responsible for providing community supervision for offenders on parole, probation, and supervised release in the District of Columbia.

The Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) has an opening for a Policy Analyst to join our dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to support the fair administration of justice.

Major Duties:

• Policy Development: Formulate, revise, and implement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance program design and effectiveness. Lead task forces and project teams to develop directives and track their status, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines.
• Presentation of Findings and Make Recommendations: Prepare and deliver presentations on policy and procedural matters to various audiences within the agency. Monitor the progress of policy development, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in the tracking system, and present findings and recommendations on complex policy issues.
• Program and Policy Advice and Guidance: Offer advice and guidance on programmatic issues to stakeholders, subject matter experts, and agency leadership. Resolve policy-related matters, provide interpretive guidance on policies, and participate in panels and committees for advanced analyses and strategic planning, maintaining contact with other organizations and agencies.

Education: Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
