Occupational Health Nurse IV (OHN IV)

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse IV (OHN IV) to lead clinic operations and deliver advanced occupational nursing practices in a large, stand-alone facility. This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong clinical expertise, leadership, and operational accountability.


Key Responsibilities
As the lead nurse within the Corporate Medical Department, you will:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing services for employee illness, injury, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work screenings.
• Act as the primary liaison with contracted health providers and manage emergency response efforts, including participation in the facility Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Oversee clinic administration, maintain compliance metrics, and adapt corporate medical policies to local needs.
• Support disability case management, injury investigations, and OSHA compliance.
• Conduct DOT drug testing, fit-for-duty evaluations, and mandated surveillance exams.
• Drive wellness initiatives and contribute to safety programs and special projects.
• Innovate and implement best-in-class occupational health practices.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn systems like Cority
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in occupational health or acute care
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, EH&S, HR, ergonomics, health promotion, and emergency medical services
  • Relevant certifications in occupational health or related fields
