Join a dynamic and innovative team as a Mid-Level Accountant! In this remote role, you'll play a vital part in managing day-to-day accounting activities. We're looking for a proactive individual who can partner effectively with management and has a keen eye for detail, understanding the full cycle of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, including monthly invoicing.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily transactions and account reconciliations.
Calculate GSA/IFF fees as needed.
Post journal entries to the balance sheet and income statement according to established routines.
Update balance sheet accounts, conducting weekly and monthly reconciliations.
Perform daily postings and downloads for bank accounts and credit cards as required.
Process payroll, ensuring timely submission.
Review and process monthly and quarterly sales and use tax as required.
Reconcile quarterly payroll filings with the general ledger.
Oversee the month-end close process.
Handle incurred cost submissions and indirect rate calculations.
Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification is strongly preferred.
6+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on the full cycle of accounting.
Experience in government contracting is preferred.
Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Familiarity with software such as PROCAS, Deltek, or similar.
Experience with payroll systems like Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar.
Proficient in invoicing platforms such as PIEE, IPP, GSA, or similar.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all organizational levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a capacity to handle sensitive information.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data effectively.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Attention to detail is essential.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with advanced knowledge preferred.
