Overview The Executive Search Manager will build our in-house executive search function. The Manager, Executive Search will build our process, service, expertise and capability hiring senior-level executives and critical leadership roles. This role partners closely with senior stakeholders, HR leaders, and external search firms to ensure a seamless and high-impact executive hiring process aligned with organizational goals and culture. This role partners closely with Executive teams, Talent Acquisition leadership, HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, to deliver a high-impact, consultative search experience resulting in highly qualified hires. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in executive search, market intelligence, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivering a consistent, high-touch candidate experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Build our Executive Search function and expand in 2027.
Define, build and manage end-to-end processes for VP-level and above roles, ensuring candidate and senior executive experience.
Provide department leadership to ensure best-in-class practices, quality of hire, and stakeholder management. Ensure Executive Recruiters are partnering with senior leadership to deliver on executive search to performance standards.
Manage stakeholder relationships, navigating and aligning requirements, internal parameters and candidate expectations.
Lead a market mapping strategy, mitigating workforce risk and business continuity; build and maintain a strong pipeline of executive talent through proactive sourcing and networking.
Manage relationships with external search firms and ensure alignment with internal standards.
Provide market intelligence, benchmarking, and insights to inform workforce strategy and hiring decisions.
Ensure a high-touch candidate experience and maintain confidentiality throughout the process.
Report key performance outcomes related to executive hiring success.
Experience curating and using market and candidate insights to advise clients.
Experience with best-in-class platforms and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required:
5–8 years of experience in executive search.
5+ years of leadership experience.
In-house executive search leadership experience in a Fortune 500 company.
Proven success in managing executives, niche and C-suite searches across multiple functions.
Strong understanding of executive compensation, assessment tools, and market trends.
Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations or with global teams.
Subject matter expertise and super user in related technology, tools and platforms.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
Experience in financial services, investments, or wealth management.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $139,455.00 - $188,676.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
