Our dynamic and highly reputable law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with a strong background in Civil Litigation and Insurance Defense. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing a caseload of complex insurance defense cases from beginning to end.
2. Preparing and arguing motions, including summary judgments.
3. Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
4. Engaging in discovery and trial preparations.
5. Representing clients in court and before government agencies.
6. Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
7. Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
8. Providing legal counsel and advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are protected.
9. Collaborating with team members to develop effective defense strategies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Associate Attorney position, you must have:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar of New York.
3. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an associate attorney, with a focus on civil litigation and insurance defense.
4. Proven experience representing clients in all stages of the litigation process.
5. Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
