Wine Director – San Francisco, CA – Up to $140k + Bonus Our client is a Michelin-starred restaurant who is known for its innovative French cuisine and dedication to sustainability.Join a team passionate about delivering an unforgettable dining experience and pushing the boundaries of culinary creativity. The Role Oversee wine selections, create an exceptional wine list, and maintain inventory to align with the restaurant’s vision and standards. Educate staff on wine pairings, service techniques, and enhance their knowledge to elevate the guest experience. Provide expert recommendations and ensure an exceptional wine experience for all guests. Build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage the wine program's financial performance effectively. What they are looking for: Must have front-of-house management experience in a 2- or 3-star Michelin restaurant, with exceptional guest service and staff leadership skills. Deep knowledge of food and wine, including pairing and service, with the ability to enhance the guest dining experience. Strong multitasking abilities, proficiency in cost management, and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word for operational efficiency. Knowledge of wine-related languages, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and guests.
