Join our innovative team providing specialized remote education services to students with exceptional needs across New Hampshire's virtual school programs. We're seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher who thrives in technology-enhanced learning environments.

Position Highlights

This remote opportunity offers 35.5 hours per week managing a focused caseload of 19 students spanning grades kindergarten through twelve. You'll work independently while maintaining strong collaborative partnerships with educational teams, families, and community support services throughout the state.

Teaching Responsibilities

• Implement individualized curriculum modifications and accommodations through virtual platforms
• Provide direct instruction in academic skills, social emotional learning, and functional competencies
• Develop comprehensive behavior support plans and crisis prevention strategies
• Coordinate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusive learning opportunities
• Conduct virtual parent training sessions and family engagement meetings
• Prepare detailed progress reports and facilitate annual IEP reviews
• Ensure compliance with federal and state special education requirements

Student Services Specialization

Your caseload will encompass students with specific learning disabilities requiring intensive academic interventions, students with developmental delays needing functional skill instruction, and students with emotional behavioral disorders requiring therapeutic educational approaches. You'll adapt instructional strategies for effective online delivery across diverse learning profiles.

Professional Requirements

• Master's degree in Special Education from nationally accredited institution
• Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification
• Minimum two years of direct experience in special education classroom settings
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based instructional practices and behavioral interventions
• Proficiency with educational technology platforms and data management systems
• Strong background in positive behavior supports and trauma-informed teaching
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural responsiveness

Remote Work Expectations

This position requires comfort with various online learning platforms, digital assessment tools, and virtual collaboration software. A professional home office environment with quality audio/video equipment and stable internet connection is necessary for effective student engagement and instruction delivery.
