Unit Information:

• Unit Name: PMPC (Progressive Care Unit)
• Number of Beds: 23 Step-Down, 16 Med-Surg
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs
• Patient Ratios:
  • Step-Down: 1:3-4
  • Med-Surg: 1:4-6
• Type of Equipment: Lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, tracheostomies
• EMR System: Cerner

Typical Hiring Profile:

• Required Skills (Must Have):
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
  • Experience working with tracheostomies
  • Candidates without these skills will not be considered.
• Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Previous experience with Cerner EMR
• Typical Procedures Performed:
  • Trach care
  • Chest tube management
  • Wound dressing changes
• Best Personality Fit:
  • Flexible and highly clinically competent

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS

Floating Areas:

• Other Med-Surg and Progressive Care Units

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color/Attire: Navy blue

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• Please attach unit policies and guidelines if available.

Scheduling:

• Weekends: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
• On-Call: None

Number of Positions: 1/1
Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year (2 years preferred)
