Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in the specialty.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Day shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
• Every other holiday coverage is required
• Patient care involves medical-surgical nursing with telemetry monitoring
• Electronic documentation is required; familiarity with timecard submission in Qualivis – Lotus is beneficial
• Responsibilities include providing direct care to Med/Surg Tele patients and completing required telemetry monitoring
• Participation in required orientation modules; annual modules required if on contract for a continuous year
• Onsite badge pickup and fingerprinting must be completed before the start date
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Permanent or per diem candidates must wait one year after last contract end date before returning
• Modules are recorded via Silkroad and must be completed before and during assignment as required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required prior to travel
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with no more than two attempts
• At least one professional reference from a supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in the specialty is required
• No open background check cases or license restrictions permitted
