\nRN - Med Surg Orthopedic/Neuro
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• 8-hour shift options available upon request
\n• Every-other-weekend requirement (nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday, days: Saturday/Sunday)
\n• Holiday coverage required based on unit needs
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts
\n• Float to any Med Surg unit (excluding ED or Behavioral Health)
\n• One shift orientation with preceptor plus online learning modules
\n• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
\n• Preferred certifications: ACLS and NIHSS
\n• Previous neuro/orthopedic experience preferred but not required
\n• Must have basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms
\n• Work with Epic EMR system and telemetry monitoring
\n• Manage IV drips including Heparin and Protonix (no titrating or cardiac drips)
\n• Care for patients with totals, spines, craniotomies, seizures, brain stimulators, and medical overflow
\n• Use B-Braun IV systems and work with BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow ventilation
\n• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, natural hair colors only
\n• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
\n• Strong attendance record required

\nThis acute care medical center features a 21-bed Med Surg Orthopedic/Neuro unit with a mix of private and semi-private rooms. The facility operates with 24/7 hospitalist coverage, in-house respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and charge nurse support. The organization utilizes Epic EMR systems and provides comprehensive patient care with remote telemetry monitoring and modern medical equipment including Omnicell medication dispensing systems.
