Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Michigan requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU and recent open-heart experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital CVICU specializing in critical care for cardiovascular patients
• Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and one holiday required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• No on-call requirements
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Utilizes Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) equipment
• Cerner EMR experience is required
• Nurses are responsible for coordination and delivery of quality patient care, including patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members is essential
• Participation in patient care planning and resolving variances from patient goals is expected
• Must complete all required background checks and drug screening at least two weeks prior to start
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Dress code and scrub requirements will be communicated prior to assignment start

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active Michigan RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience
• Recent open-heart experience is required
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and Cerner EMR required
• Online modules must be completed onsite prior to the start date
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
