Job Title: Temporary Accounting Clerk
Location: Casper, WY
Pay: $18 - $19 per hour
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Temporary Assignment Duration: March - May (3-month assignment)

Job Description:

Adecco is currently helping a local client in Casper, WY, seeking an Accounting Clerk to assist with essential office duties in their accounting department. This is a temporary assignment lasting from March to May. The role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, the ability to handle financial data, and a collaborative attitude. Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry into accounting systems with accuracy.
  • Validate data against system reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify that company controls and processes are being followed.
  • Ensure that all entries are supported according to company procedures.
  • Work closely with operations to complete processes efficiently.
  • Interact with vendors and customers as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to capture all relevant financial data within the appropriate time period.
  • Open and process incoming mail.
  • Scan documents and maintain digital files.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Read and interpret documents such as invoices, computer reports, accounts receivable, and accounts payable reports.
  • Perform mathematical calculations, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for various tasks and documentation.
  • Use 10-key by touch for efficient data entry.
  • Operate office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and scanners.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in 10-key touch and basic computer keyboarding skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
