Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with visual impairments? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in a remote, full-time role. As a TVI, you'll have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home while implementing specialized educational goals tailored to each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students in grades K-12, focusing on mild to moderate visual impairments.
Implement and monitor individualized educational goals as outlined in students' IEPs.
Conduct evaluations to assess students' needs and progress.
Collaborate with other educational professionals to ensure the success of each student.
Offer guidance on the use of assistive technologies and other resources for visually impaired students.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with families and the education team.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students.
Full certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Washington.
At least 2 years of experience working as a TVI in a school setting.
Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

Additional Details:
Position Duration: Immediate start through the end of the current school year, with the potential to continue into the 2024-2025 school year.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Grade Levels: Mixed grade levels (K-12)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 40,000.00 50,000.00 Per Year
