About the Role:
In this position, you will utilize our innovative teletherapy platform to teach, assess, and support visually impaired students. You will have the flexibility to manage your caseload, collaborate seamlessly with other educators, and provide tailored instruction, including teaching Braille. This role offers options for both full-year and short-term engagements during the 2023/2024 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support for visually impaired students from elementary through high school.
Teach Braille and assist students in developing essential skills for academic success.
Collaborate with fellow educators to create an inclusive learning environment.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications:
Fully certified as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
A minimum of 2 years of experience in the role.
Active teaching license in Alaska.
