Job Description

As a Systems Administrator you will use your strong technical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex network or server issues, as well as handle day-to-day help desk activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, test, and implement upgrades for our information systems.
• Integrate new software applications.
• manage devices on our network through Active Directory, Intune, and Kandji.
• Manage user access with Azure and GPO.
• Configure hardware (Servers, Firewalls, SANs).
• Resolve technical issues and system outages.
• Run performance reports, analyze server metrics, investigate log files.
• Design, install and configure internal and customer-facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
• Proactively manage and maintain server, storage, network, and firewall systems.
• Administer and support core Microsoft, Palo Alto and Hyper-V technologies.
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
• Define and document best practices and support procedures.
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.
• Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.
• Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a degree in an information technology field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience in a Windows networked environment.
• Experience with Hyper-V Clusters using Failover Cluster Manager is a plus.
• Experience with Dell Storage solutions.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office Suites.
• Experience with VOIP and digital phone system technologies is a plus.
• Experience configuring firewalls, VPN, routing, and networking technologies.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work directly with business users.
