Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer V for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA(Remote). This role requires hands-on experience with GPU APIs like Metal or OpenGL and shader programming to build high-performance, visually stunning animations.

Rate Range: $140/hour to 148/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Engineer V job responsibilities include:

• Design and implement advanced animation features for Keynote’s custom animation engine across macOS, iOS, and web platforms.

• Develop and optimize high-performance graphics using GPU APIs such as Metal, OpenGL, or Vulkan, and write shaders in GLSL, HLSL, or Metal Shading Language.

• Profile and enhance animation performance, applying state-of-the-art graphics techniques and staying current with industry best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and engineers, to deliver visually compelling and user-friendly animations.

• Apply modern testing methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of animations and visual effects.

• Contribute to innovation by exploring new graphics technologies and integrating them into the animation engine.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience/skills.

• Typically, 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on graphics or animation systems.

• Proficiency in GPU APIs such as Metal, OpenGL, WebGL, or Vulkan, and experience with shader programming (GLSL, HLSL, Metal Shading Language).

• Proven ability to design and optimize high-performance, visually engaging animations and graphics for cross-platform applications.

Pay Details: $140.00 to $148.00 per hour
