We are on the lookout for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team and contribute to our legacy of success.

Your Role:

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our real estate operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Management: Handle day-to-day accounting activities tailored to the real estate sector, utilizing QuickBooks for various entities under the JohnHart umbrella. Your expertise in managing financial operations for multiple subsidiaries will be key.
  • Accounts Oversight: Efficiently manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Transaction Management: Oversee daily banking transactions and maintain precise financial records.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of internal reports with third-party records to ensure accuracy.
  • Administrative Support: Undertake various administrative tasks, adapting to the dynamic needs of the team, ranging from routine to complex financial matters.

Qualities and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
  • Experience in managing financials for multiple entities, particularly within property management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships.
  • Technological adeptness with various software programs.
  • A motivated individual who values integrity and confidentiality.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the property management or real estate sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial systems and databases.

This is a full-time, in-house position based at our headquarters. Remote work options are not available.
