Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer and Technical Systems SME to join our enterprise development team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP applications across a wide range of platforms — with a specific focus on supporting SAP BRIM components such as Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Invoicing (CI), and FI-CA.
This is a remote position requiring expert-level ABAP skills, SAP UI5/Fiori experience, and a strong background in integrated SAP environments, including ECC, BW, GRC, and Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP applications supporting:
- ECC, SRM, BW, GRC, Solution Manager, and SAP BRIM components (SOM, CI, FI-CA)
- BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, IDOCs, BDC, SAPScript, LSMW, and custom reports
- Develop front-end solutions using SAP Fiori/UI5 and HTML5 , integrated with SAP BTP
- Build technical interfaces and enhancements to support billing, subscription, and revenue processes in BRIM
- Support back-end integration and custom development for Convergent Invoicing, event-based processing, and contract accounting (FI-CA)
- Maintain system documentation, technical specifications, and reusable development frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and BRIM functional leads to implement business logic and integration points
- Conduct peer code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and contribute to development standards
- Stay current on S/4HANA and SAP BTP development tools, frameworks, and methodologies
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP development standards and integration practices
- Experience supporting or developing within SAP BRIM components (SOM, CI, FI-CA)
- UI5, Fiori, and HTML5 development experience in SAP BTP
- Familiarity with SAP systems including ECC, BW, SRM, GRC, and Solution Manager
- Java development experience with SAP PO, NetWeaver Portal, or LVM (preferred)
- Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation and support project lifecycle phases
- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
Preferred Skills:
- S/4HANA development experience or participation in S/4HANA projects
- SAP certifications in ABAP, BRIM, or Fiori/UI5
- Agile project experience and familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Strong understanding of middleware tools (SAP CPI, MuleSoft, etc.)
Additional Information:
- Remote position; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Core availability required: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST (±1 hour)
- This role will directly support SAP development efforts related to customer billing, invoicing, and subscription management
