Company Overview: Our client, a fast-growing, nationwide commercial property development firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Property Accountant to join their expanding team. As a leading player in the real estate industry, our client specializes in all aspects of residential property development, working with tenants, landlords, communities, lenders, and investors.

Job Summary: As a Sr. Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financials for an assigned group of properties, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

•Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, CAM reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
•Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing valuable insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
•Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
•General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring proper classification and recording of financial transactions.
•Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including the timely collection of rents and payments to vendors.
•Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to enhance financial performance.
•Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide support during financial audits.
•Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
•Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including property managers, leasing agents, and executives, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business objectives.

Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
•Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or real estate finance, with a strong understanding of real estate development and property management.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MRI, Yardi), advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP).
•Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
•Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
•Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels.
•Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
•Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
