Personal Banker

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Team Leader, our Senior Personal Bankers are responsible for providing clients with both personal and business banking solutions to meet their financial service needs. Each Senior Personal Banker is knowledgeable about banking solutions and provides excellent customer service by opening accounts, processing clients transactions, and servicing requests efficiently.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (Duties not limited to those provided here)

  • Present bank products and services with in-depth knowledge to internal and external customers.
  • Provide banking services to new and existing customers including customer transactions, opening accounts, and account maintenance in accordance with standard procedures and excellent customer experience standards.
  • Introduce and demonstrate digital and self-service options to customers.
  • Establish, maintain, deepen, and broaden customer relationships by providing personalized financial service by following up with customers on a regular basis.
  • Listen to and communicate with customers to understand and meet individual customer needs. Optimize positive relationships with customers, prospective customers, and co- workers.
  • Maintain and control the security of a cash drawer. Balance cash drawer and transactions processing in accordance with Bank procedures.
  • Obtain a notary license on behalf of the institution and act as a notary for customer documents.
  • May be responsible for bank opening and/or closing procedures.
  • Review assigned operations reports, certification, and other transaction activities.
  • Work as a team and contribute to the overall achievement of the bank’s objectives.
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with Bank policy and procedures and banking regulations.
  • Participate in on-going training
  • Comply with and adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree required.
  • Previous experience in financial service required.
  • Notary license preferred. Alternatively, willingness to obtain notary license required.
  • Bilingual required. Mandarin preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, attentive and professional in dealing with both customers and co- workers.
  • Effective selling, cross-selling, and referral skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Competence with computers, telephone, 10-key calculator, and other office machinery.
