Family law practice areas include dissolutions, relationship agreements, custody/visitation issues, support disputes, and property division. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, excellent research and writing abilities, and experience in drafting settlement proposals, pleadings, discovery requests, requests for order, and trial briefs. The role requires managing a voluminous caseload in a fast-paced environment, being a self-starter, and proactively learning new skills. The Senior Family Law Attorney may also oversee work of associate attorneys, delegate assignments, and mentor staff within the Family Law department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage client matters from inception to resolution. Communicate effectively with clients and involved parties. Provide excellent customer service. Meet billable hours requirements. Draft legal documents including settlement proposals, pleadings, discovery requests, and trial briefs. Appear in court across the Bay Area for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences. Requirements Education and Experience Juris Doctorate degree. Experience managing client communications and expectations. Familiarity with legal research tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw, and law firm management software is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in California Family Code and Rules of Court. Knowledge of local courts in the Bay Area.
