Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of student care.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Oversee student care while at school. Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel within scope of license.
• Participate in the surveillance and prevention of communicable diseases. Comply with reporting guidelines.
• Educate students, family members and faculty. Promote a wellness environment and ensures the health, comfort and safety of students.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
