Exciting Opportunity: Safety Manager - Renewable Energy (Solar)

Location: Bend, OR (Regional travel as needed)

Our client delivers utility solar, energy storage, and high-voltage solutions, prioritizing safety from construction to operation throughout North America. They have a solid reputation for longstanding customer relationships, community investment, and meaningful careers in clean energy.

Your Responsibilities as a Leader:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program and solar energy project policy covering electrical work, height, and heavy equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety training (fall protection, electrical safety, emergency procedures) to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations to determine root cause and implement corrective action.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, manage subcontractor safety, and maintain accurate documentation of training, inspection, and incidents.
• Monitor safety performance, identify trends, recommend improvement, and foster a positive safety culture through communication, training, and leadership..

The Skills & Experience You Possess:

• 5-7 years of experience in a safety management role, with experience in the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA standards, state and local safety regulations, and risk management strategies. OSHA 10 Required. OSHA 30 is highly preferred.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence teams and build consensus.
• Proficiency with safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel within the region as required.
