Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Job Title: Rigging Manager Location: Boston Shipyard, Boston, MA Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Competitive salary, based on experience ________________________________________ Position Summary The Boston Shipyard is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rigging Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of rigging operations. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant rigging activities while fostering an environment of teamwork and professionalism. As the Rigging Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining organizational excellence, demonstrating strong leadership, and thriving in outdoor and physically demanding conditions. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Leadership and Team Management: oSupervise, train, and mentor rigging staff to maintain high productivity and safety standards. oFoster a collaborative and efficient work environment through clear communication and team leadership. oDelegate tasks effectively to ensure optimal workflow and resource utilization. Operational Oversight: oDevelop and implement comprehensive plans for rigging projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and personnel management. oConduct regular inspections and maintenance of rigging equipment to ensure peak performance and safety. oCoordinate effectively across departments to align rigging operations with broader shipyard objectives. Safety and Compliance: oEnsure all operations adhere to OSHA standards, Massachusetts labor laws, and shipyard-specific safety protocols. oMaintain detailed records for compliance, including budgets, timelines, and safety documentation. Client and Stakeholder Coordination: oCollaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met. oRespond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues to minimize downtime and maintain safety. Financial Management: oMonitor and manage project budgets to align with financial goals and organizational objectives. oProvide cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and safety. ________________________________________ Qualifications Valid rigging license (required). Minimum of 5 years of experience in rigging operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comprehensive knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety practices. Proven experience in budget management and achieving financial goals. Strong clerical skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Strong coordination skills with the ability to align multiple teams and resources effectively. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, Massachusetts labor laws, and maritime/shipyard safety standards. Sufficient knowledge of shipyard operations and industry practices. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
