Border Tire is hiring a Retread Associate in Corona, CA!/strong/p\n\npThestrongRetread Associate/strongwill be responsible for manufacturing tires through our assembly line and producing a finished product that meets all company expectations, guidelines, and ensure customer satisfaction. The position functions in a manufacturing environment retread facility where commercial truck tires are retreaded through a series of manual and automated processes./p\n\npstrongResponsibilities:/strong/p\n\nul\n\tliTrain for all aspects of retread tire manufacturing including inspecting and buffing tire carcasses, applying rubber compounds, curing, and quality control./li\n\tliInspects tires to be retreaded or repaired to determine condition, repairs needed, etc./li\n\tliOperates a buffing machine to remove treads from tires to be retreaded, following specifications for depth and width of removal./li\n\tliMeasures diameter and cross-section to determine correct tread width./li\n\tliApplies rubber cement to tire casing and hangs up to dry./li\n\tliSelects the proper size tread rubber and apply it to the tire./li\n\tliPlaces proper curing tube in the tire and inserts proper rim for curing./li\n\tliPlaces tire in chamber and programs correct curing temperature according to specification./li\n\tliSets timer for curing time according to chart, and makes a record of each tire, showing the size and curing time./li\n\tliRemoves finished retread from the curing chamber.

Also removes the rim and curing bag from a finished retread./li\n\tliInspects tires to determine defects in curing, i.e. soft cures, ply separation, repairs missed, etc./li\n\tliTrims and paints finished retread./li\n\tliChecks finished tire with a work order for proper identification and completion of work required./li\n\tliOperate independently and as a team member./li\n\tliInspects and tests tires to ensure conformance to standards./li\n\tliVisually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition./li\n\tliSkive, buff, and fill any injury in the tire as required./li\n\tliReceive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc./li\n\tliAssists in distribution center activities as assigned./li\n\tliPerform routine inspection and maintenance on plant equipment following managers and manufacturers instructions./li\n\tliFollow processes to ensure retread tire completion./li\n\tliContinues to work on revenue-producing work as needed./li\n\tliFollow all companys filed procedures and protocols./li\n\tliOperates all tools and equipment in a safe manner./li\n\tliReports any safety issues immediately to management./li\n\tliMaintain an organized and safe work area according to the dealership, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards./li\n/ul\n\npstrongQualifications:/strong/p\n\nul\n\tliRequires little or no previous training or experience, but willing to be trained and work./li\n\tliMust be able to work without direct supervision./li\n\tliAbility to learn quickly./li\n\tliMust be detail-oriented to always ensure accuracy and safety./li\n/ul\n\npstrongJob Benefits:/strong/p\n\nul\n\tli401(k)/li\n\tliDental Insurance/li\n\tliHealth Insurance/li\n\tliLife Insurance/li\n\tliPaid Time Off/li\n\tliTuition Reimbursement/li\n\tliVision insurance/li\n/ul\n\npstrongBenefit Conditions:/strong/p\n\nul\n\tliOnly full-time employees are eligible./li\n/ul\n\npstrongBORDER TIRE/strong/p\n\npstrongYOUR LOCAL TIRE EXPERTS./strong/p\n\npBorder Tire is all things tire.
