UH MacDonald Women’s Hospital, at UH St. John Medical Center in Westlake, offers single-room maternity. The mother stays in the same room for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum. 

\n

The staff of nurses, physicians and midwives are committed to being partners with the childbearing family to provide a safe and satisfying birth experience focusing on birth as normal.

Position Summary

\n

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

\n

Part time: Straight Night Shift

• Weekend/holidays requirement

• Call shifts will be required

Qualifications

Education

\n

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of Diploma, Associates Degree in nursing from accredited program.

\n

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

\n

\n
• \n

  1 year of inpatient RN experience required. 

  \n
\n
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) required
\n

\n

Licenses and Certifications

\n

\n
• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Required 
\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on clinical area standards.
\n
