A Registered Nurse (RN) for a short-term assignment in the surgery circulator role, focusing on orthopedic and ENT cases. This position involves providing total patient care through collaboration with healthcare professionals and conducting assessments, planning, and implementing care strategies. The role requires a current RN license and offers a competitive hourly rate in a dynamic surgical services department.
Overview:Compensation
We have 7 operating rooms for orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,
Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and
Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
In collaboration with the physician you will provide total patient nursing care by assisting, leading, and/or directing care with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers.
Cares for all ages of patients; infant to geriatric.
