The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, planning and implementing care strategies, and evaluating nursing interventions across various specialties. With a focus on professionalism and teamwork, the RN plays a vital role in the care of patients of all ages in the surgical services department.
Overview:Compensation
We have 7 operating rooms for orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data,
Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,
Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and
Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
In collaboration with the physician you will provide total patient nursing care by assisting, leading, and/or directing care with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers.
Cares for all ages of patients; infant to geriatric.
