The Regional Nutrition Manager (RNM) is a vital part of OptumRx Infusion Pharmacy's Nutrition Center of Excellence and will be responsible for promoting and growing the parenteral nutrition (PN) program with acute infusion in the designated region. The RNM devises and implements growth strategies for the PN program and serves as a subject matter expert (SME). This role will be remote with frequent travel within the designated region.
If you reside in Phoenix, AZ area, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive parenteral nutrition (PN) growth strategy for the designated region in partnership with nutrition and regional leadership teams
+ Build and maintain relationships within key accounts for PN referral generation
+ Collaborate with sales, clinical, and operations teams to build relationships, utilizing our clinical programs to consistently generate PN referrals, initiate care, and drive revenue within a defined region
+ Track and analyze PN referrals, starts of care, revenue, and gross margin in your designated region on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
+ Serve as an external-facing resource for the region, working collaboratively to facilitate the onboarding of PN referrals and resumptions of care. Assist with care coordination, discharge planning, and communication with referral sources as needed
+ Conduct regular in-person or virtual meetings, in-services, and continuing educational (CE) programs to external referral sources, serving as a nutrition support SME
+ Participate in training and development of acute team at the regional and national level
+ Maintain knowledge base regarding reimbursement coverage and payer-specific profitability metrics. Consistently assist with PN qualification for payer coverage
+ Serve as PN SME, keeping abreast of the home PN industry and market: competition, innovations, PN demographics and trends and update internal stakeholders consistently
+ Provide nutrition support clinical care as needed
+ Utilize electronic medical records and patient documentation accurately and in a timely manner, as required by UHG and Optum Infusion protocols and policies
+ Take responsibility for maintaining employment requirements: Completion of orientation, current nutritional knowledge, professional registration, licensure as appropriate, certifications and health requirements as specified by internal and external regulatory bodies
+ Participate in professional organizations to foster industry relationships
+ Attend regional and national conferences as required

**Required Qualifications:**
+ Registered dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensed by the state, as appropriate
+ 5+ years of clinical nutrition support experience
+ Experience delivering presentations to various audiences
+ Advanced organizational and account management skills
+ Ability to travel at least 50% throughout designated region
+ Ability to attend regional/national meetings
+ Reside in the designated region: Phoenix, AZ area
+ Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Current Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or willing/able to obtain within 1 year of employment
+ Home infusion clinical or infusion sales experience
+ Active professional affiliations

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
