Position Description Are you a skilled
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) or
Physician Assistant (PA) looking to make a real difference in the lives of individuals living with serious mental health needs? In this role, you'll provide a full spectrum of psychiatric services-ranging from assessments and diagnosis to treatment planning, medication management, and crisis intervention. Working under the supervision of psychiatrists and clinical leadership, you'll also collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care that drives meaningful recovery outcomes.
What You'll Do - Conduct initial and comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status exams and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop, review, and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans in partnership with the treatment team.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in alignment with best practices and guidelines.
- Provide ongoing care through daily rounds, patient education, and consultation.
- Monitor labs, assessments, and treatment response while adjusting care as needed.
- Deliver crisis intervention and respond effectively to urgent or emergency situations.
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
What We're Looking For Education & Training - Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (required)
Experience - Prior psychiatric care experience (required)
Licensure/Certifications - Current NP or PA license in the state of practice (required)
- DEA registration (required)
