Position: Program Monitor

Reports to: Associate Vice President, Health Equity

Position Overview:

The Health Equity Unit (HEU) Program Monitor is responsible for ensuring compliance with program requirements and facilitating effective contract management. Program Monitors will engage with grantee staff, program participants, and external stakeholders to evaluate program administration, service quality, and overall program success. Program Monitors will perform on-site and remote monitoring reviews to assess grantee compliance with program requirements. They will collect data on programmatic outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness. Program Monitors will manage the contracting process for partners to ensure swift onboarding of contracted partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Works with HEU subcontractors to monitor program progress and ensures that program deliverables are being met.
• Confirming that the subcontractors’ goods and services meet the contract's requirements.
• Maintaining appropriate documentation, including significant events like deficiencies, deliverables, and milestones.
• Identifying and resolving minor disputes with vendors in a timely manner.
• Making sure that contractors are responsive and providing the correct level of service specified in the contract.
• Preparing and submitting detailed reports on contractor performance, including any instances of contract violations and corrective actions taken.
• Holding regular meetings or check-ins with stakeholders to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.
• Site visits and ensure program compliance.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• At least two years of related experience in program engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and people-oriented skills.
• Professionalism when dealing with clients to represent the company in a positive light.

Salary range:

• $58,500 - $ 77,798*
  1. The final determination of salary, within this range, will depend on the candidate’s education, skills and experience required for the particular position.

• UWNYC is presently on a Hybrid/In-Person work schedule.
