We are currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with 6 years of experience to join a reputable and growing civil engineering and surveying firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of land development, transportation, utility, and municipal projects while also contributing to the growth and mentorship of the survey team.
The ideal candidate is a licensed surveyor with strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and a desire to take ownership of both field and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of land surveying projects from proposal through delivery
Oversee field crews, provide technical guidance, and review deliverables for quality and accuracy
Prepare and review boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, right-of-way, and construction staking surveys
Coordinate with engineers, developers, contractors, and municipal agencies
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the team
Assist with business development and client relationships as needed
Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license (or ability to obtain in [state])
6 years of progressive surveying experience
Strong understanding of land records, plats, easements, and legal descriptions
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern survey field equipment (GPS, total stations, data collectors)
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to project sites
