Job Description

Product Marketing Manager - Developer Marketing Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About The Team Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Demand Generation and Campaigns to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.

We are looking for experienced product marketers to shape the roadmap, drive launches, and grow adoption for critical products such as Payments Intelligence, Payouts, Tax, Billing, and Link; and develop our go-to-market strategy for key user segments such as Enterprises and Startups. In this role, you will develop messaging and positioning, craft the narrative for how our products deliver value to customers, and engage teams across sales, campaigns, demand generation, and product to drive overall awareness, pipeline, and revenue across Stripe’s existing customer base and prospects. Responsibilities

Developer go-to-market strategy:

Craft our go-to-market strategy to grow our developer audience and drive adoption of developer products. This includes mapping the developer marketing funnel, conducting research to deeply understand the developer persona across both startups and enterprise customers, establishing success metrics, using data to inform your point of view, and determining optimal channels and content. Positioning and messaging:

Craft compelling product narratives and value propositions for our developer offerings that differentiate the Stripe developer experience. Drive messaging consistency across all channels and iterate based on developer feedback. Go-to-market execution:

Implement your GTM plan by partnering with Product, Developer Relations, Engineering, Communications, Design, and Marketing teams to launch new developer-centric features and programs across various channels, driving product adoption and increasing developer brand sentiment. Content creation:

Create developer-focused marketing collateral (e.g., social media, demos, blogs, landing pages) and partner with Developer Relations to create technical and community content (e.g., webinars, guides, events). Sales and partner enablement:

Work with solutions architects, technical account managers, and partner marketing teams to create developer-specific training strategies and plans. Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum Requirements

5+ years of total work experience that can span product marketing, product management, developer relations, engineering, solutions architecture, or communications. 3+ years of marketing or go-to-market experience, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working in B2B settings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience translating technical features into benefits for a technical audience. Strong project management skills, with an ability to keep multiple workstreams and partners in sync on timelines and what’s needed to succeed. Preferred Qualifications

Deep understanding of developers and technical buyer needs and preferences. Experience in the financial services, software, or technology industry. Knowledge of and familiarity with developer products and tools. Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (typically, 35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office). Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live. Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $182,300 - $273,500. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends. Skills
