Job Description

Our client is a leading global investment bank in Stamford, CT. They are seeking a talented Principal Network Engineer to own their 2025 Infrastructure EOL Remediation Program. The program is required to mitigate network gear that has reach end of service life. The key objectives are to replace ~150 or more devices with global standards for service and support.

This will begin as a 6-12 month contract with the potential for extensions and/or conversion. This will be a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week onsite).

In order to be successful, you should have specific SME skill sets in areas including complex routing, switching, firewall, DNS, automation and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering new solutions to replace EOL services & devices.
• Developing complex planning cycles to implement solutions without service outages or application impacts to business.
• Implementing and production cutover events. Weekend availability is required.

The ideal candidate would need a collaborative style, with ability to rapidly discover our current networking environment, prioritize specific designs that need upgrade, and work closely with a tenured team to complete strategic priorities.

Preferred Technology Experience:

Cisco Networking, Fortinet Firewalls, Blue Coat, F5, GigaMon, InfoBlox, NetApp, Google Cloud Networking, Automation certifications in Python, Terraform, Ansible or similar.
