Job Description The Power BI Developer will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining Power BI reports using SQL data for a large internal Microsoft business. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies, gathering requirements, and translating them for developers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Job Responsibilities: Work with key stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies. Gather requirements from business units and translate them for developers. Prepare cost-benefit and ROI analyses for system implementations. Provide informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and identify improvement opportunities. Support complex business processes and work on multiple projects as a team member. Serve as a liaison between the business community and IT to provide technical solutions. Create, update, and repair Power BI reports using SQL data. Test queries, connect data, and present findings in Power BI. Communicate effectively with customers, set expectations, and collaborate within a team. Understand existing data models and apply them to new Power BI projects. Skills and Requirements Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience in relevant roles. Proficiency in programming languages to understand code and basic functions. Strong project management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex technical details. High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions. Technical Skills: Expert in Power BI and SQL Server. Experience with SQL (8+ years) and Power BI/SSRS (3+ years). Familiarity with Kusto (Azure Data Explorer) is a plus. Familiarity with Kusto (Azure Data Explorer) is a plus.
