Travel Required: Occasional domestic and foreign travel.

Duties

Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection, including:

• Providing protection for key locations such as The White House Complex and foreign embassies.
• Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign diplomatic missions.
• Enforcing protective responsibilities under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be less than 37 years old at the time of a conditional offer (exceptions for prior federal law enforcement service).
• Pass a drug test and undergo random testing while employed.
• Disclose any prior drug use.
• Carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm.
• No misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence unless expunged or pardoned.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training.
• Register with the Selective Service System (if applicable).
• Meet vision requirements (uncorrected 20/100 binocular, corrected 20/20 per eye).

Qualifications

• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in key frequency ranges.
• Obtain and retain a Top-Secret Clearance.
• Use your official name as per valid government identification.
