What's the role?

Peer Reviewers execute peer reviews of CPA firms to monitor a CPA firm's accounting and auditing practice to promote quality in the accounting and auditing services provided by the firms. Both System Reviews that focus on a firm's system of quality control and Engagement Reviews that focus on work performed on particular selected engagements will be performed. Tasks include:

• Completing peer reviews by analyzing client firms' records, processes, and client engagements to identify potential issues and performing research to present proposed solutions.
• Communicating and meeting with firms regarding findings and providing recommendations to assist firms in implementing best practices.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA certification.
• Experience as a Peer Reviewer at a CPA firm or 5+ years of recent public accounting firm audit supervisor, manager, or higher experience with interest in becoming a Peer Reviewer.
• Experience with ERISA and yellow book regulations.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions desired.
• Willingness to travel to complete onsite reviews for clients when needed.
