Job Title: Part-time Sa/Su/M Caregiver for Dementia Client

Location: Carthage, Mo

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: Saturday 1pm-9pm, Sunday 9am-9pm & Monday 9am-9pm

Salary: $14-$15 hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate caregiver to provide in-home care for a client with heavy dementia. Must have experience working with dementia clients and possess the patience, empathy, and skills required to manage the challenges that come with this role. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of the client while promoting a positive and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care.
• Engage the client in stimulating activities and exercises to promote mental and physical well-being.
• Monitor and document any changes in the patient's behavior, health, or needs.
• Ensure the patient's safety at all times, including preventing wandering and managing behavioral challenges.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of anxiety, confusion, or agitation.
• Communicate regularly with family members and office staff regarding the patient's condition.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for the client.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a caregiver, specifically with dementia clients.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices and techniques.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to assist with mobility and transfers.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current car insurance
