A large and prestigious business management firm seeks a Music Audit Director to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an audit professional with music industry experience. Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of the audit process for record label and music publisher audits Overseeing planning and fieldwork procedures Designing audit programs tailored specifically to individual client needs Reviewing, summarizing and interpreting financial provisions in complex music industry agreements Preparing databases and analyzing large datasets using Excel and/or Access/SQL Analyzing calculations presented on royalty statements for compliance with financial terms in the relevant agreements Identifying potential issue areas and calculating/quantifying understated royalties as per agreement terms Training, supervising and reviewing staff test work Communicating effectively with auditees, clients and other third parties Preparing written audit report complete with supporting schedules and claim calculations Conducting audit settlements Preparing audit budgets and conducting practice development Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required Minimum of 15 years of audit experience required with 10+ years of supervisory experience.
