About the Role:

Bottle Raiders is the leading online aggregator for expert liquor reviews and coverage. We provide you with the most comprehensive, unbiased, and fair ratings available.

We're looking for a mobile developer to take over development of our spirits discovery app. You'll be responsible for both maintaining and evolving our cross-platform mobile application that helps users identify and learn about spirits using their phone's camera.

How the Bottle Raiders App Works:

• Take a photo to scan any spirit’s front label

• Instantly access expert and user spirits ratings and reviews

• Write reviews and leave ratings to remember what you have tasted

• Find nearby venues and explore their spirit selection

• Get notifications from your favorite verified venues when new spirits are added to their menu

• Track your favorite bottles and get updates on where you can find them

• Stay updated on spirit news, the latest trends, and expert recommendations

• Sign up for premium to get unlimited access to scans and exclusive deals

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain camera-based spirit recognition
  • Implement new features
  • Handle app store updates and platform requirements for iOS and Android
  • Optimize app performance and address user feedback
  • Respond to technical issues and bug reports
  • Support integration with AI services (Scanbot, Google APIs)
  • Maintain and enhance the app's offline capabilities

What You'll Need:

  • Strong mobile development experience with Flutter
  • Experience with camera and image processing
  • Experience with integrating AI/ML services (e.g., Scanbot SDK, Google Gemini)
  • Knowledge of both iOS and Android app store requirements
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and state management
  • Familiarity with Firebase services (Messaging, Analytics)

  • Experience with image recognition features
  • Knowledge of the spirits/beverage industry
  • Experience with offline-first apps
  • Experience with in-app purchases
  • Knowledge of geolocation and mapping features
  • Expertise in barcode/QR code scanning implementation
