Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Mechanical Insulators for projects located in Hampton, VA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $30/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Use hand tools, power tools, and insulation equipment safely and effectively
Perform insulation repairs by removing and replacing damaged sections
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
Communicate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on the job-site
Responsibilities
4–6 years of experience as a mechanical insulator or in a related trade
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of:
Insulation materials and application techniques
Industry best practices
Familiarity with:
Mechanical systems
HVAC
Plumbing
Process piping
Tanks
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical ability to:
Lift
Climb
Bend
Work in various environments
