If you’re a college student interested in marketing, the marketing intern position is a great opportunity to gain experience in real estate marketing at a top 5 national homebuilder while leveraging marketing communication skills as well as technology platforms and systems. We are looking for future leaders that can help Meritage continue to grow, set our future strategy and solve our business challenges. Our internship program is designed to help you not only understand what we do but how and why we do it. If you are looking for an experience where you can immerse yourself in a business, establish a network, learn, develop your skills, and have some fun, then this is the place for you .

The Marketing intern will learn about homebuyer and real estate agent marketing strategies, branding and digital advertising by providing marketing support for the South region. This will include listings management, conducting website audits, digital eblast campaigns as well as preparing/coordinating marketing materials. This is all while learning the broader business strategy, participating in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders. This internship can be full or part-time, starting January 2025 and will move into full-time in the summer. We are ideally looking for an intern that can stay on the team for at least 1 year or longer prior to graduation.

The stuff you will do:

• Gain valuable exposure to real estate marketing within the dynamic homebuilding industry while supporting the company’s home listing strategy
• Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.
• Learn our core values and why they drive everything we do
• Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
• Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
• Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic

Preferred:

• Experience working in a team environment on cross team or functional projects
• Experience dealing with ambiguity
• Experience in a leadership capacity or role and influencing peers
• Working close to full time hours, if possible
