Overview Join AAR as the Manager, Logistics . This role leads the OEM planning group to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. The Manager drives inventory optimization, customer satisfaction, and process improvement across the manufacturing operation. Responsibilities Drive inventory optimization by implementing best practices while satisfying customer demands and business targets, including WIP, Excess and Obsolete reduction and FG strategies. Ensure policy deployment objectives for material inventory utilization and on‑time delivery are achieved. Provide appropriate material availability to meet customer demands and revenue targets. Establish and maintain MPS and finished goods inventory policies. Create standard work and detailed work instructions for planning functions by product line. Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis. Calculate capacity and demand variation using simulation analysis. Establish Skills Matrix and Performance Metrics. Maintain inventory integrity and cycle count process. Lead and coordinate the site wide Annual Physical Inventory. Identify and lead Continuous Improvement events. Develop Kanban pull systems and lean manufacturing processes. Arrange for the disposal of surplus and obsolete materials. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage shipping and receiving departments, including subordinate supervisors. Direct and evaluate the work of supervised units in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Recruit, hire, and train employees; conduct performance appraisals and give rewards, discipline, and resolve complaints. Core Competencies Business Savvy Strategic Management Being Connected & Respectful Building Relationships and Partnerships Talent Management, Coaching, and Feedback Accountability Building Confidence and Integrity Qualifications 5+ years of experience in a complex, highly engineered manufacturing environment; a bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in MRP systems, particularly materials management functionality. Knowledge of military and commercial aerospace specifications and standards. Technical skills: MS Office, Project Management tools. Strong business acumen and motivation to learn new functions. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to influence and resolve issues positively. Fluency in English.
