Alpine Consulting is seeking a Lab Pack Chemist to join our clients team. This individual is responsible for the safe handling and disposal of expired laboratory reagents and other chemical waste, working both indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities include:

• Profiling and testing materials
• Develop and communicate a clear plan to properly segregate chemicals and prepare them for transport
• Ensure materials are handled professionally and safely and in accordance with disposal facility packing guidelines as well as DOT and EPA regulations
• Responsible for ensuring the proper paperwork and labeling is affixed to the containers per DOT guidelines

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years previous Lab Pack Chemist experience in environmental or similar industry required
• Strong work ethic, organizational and customer service skills
• Higher education in Chemistry and/or equivalent work experience
• Ability to Obtain and keep current all required certifications including 40-hour HAZWOPER, RCRA, and DOT
• Must be able to pass pre-employment Screening (Drug and Background Check)
• College Degree in Science is desired
• CDL License Class A or B with Hazmat endorsement preferred
