Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Korean Linguist to provide high-quality translation and interpretation services between Korean and English. The ideal candidate will be proficient in written and verbal communication in both languages and will be able to operate in real-time digital environments, such as social media, messaging platforms, and email. This position requires an individual who is adaptable, tech-savvy, and capable of handling linguistic tasks involving technical, cyber, and military terminology. Key Responsibilities: Accurately translate written materials from Korean to English and vice versa. Perform interpretation tasks in formal and informal settings, maintaining accuracy and context. Type and communicate effectively in both Korean and English using real-time digital platforms (social media, SMS, email, web-based tools, etc.). Analyze and translate content from technical documents, including materials related to cybersecurity and military operations. Stay up to date with modern web-based communication tools and apply them in a professional setting. Ensure all translated and interpreted content is culturally appropriate and contextually accurate. Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high linguistic quality and attention to detail. Minimum Qualifications: Fluency in Korean and English, both written and spoken. Proven experience in translation and interpretation between Korean and English. Ability to type in both languages and use digital communication platforms in real-time. Familiarity with social media, messaging apps, and other web-based communication tools. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies or tools relevant to the role. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: Background in technical, cyber, or military terminology. Experience translating or interpreting technical documents or working in a defense/intelligence environment. Knowledge of current Korean internet culture and slang. Prior work with government agencies, military, or related sectors.
