Job Description

Are you a detail-oriented, results-driven professional with a passion for construction and project management? We’re looking for a  Junior Project Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring our renovation projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in the construction industry. You’ll work closely with the Inspector/Project Manager to oversee inspections, write project scopes, manage bids, monitor progress, and ensure successful project completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Inspections:

Assist the Inspector/Project Manager in conducting site inspections to confirm work aligns with approved plans, building codes, and safety standards.

  • Scope Development:

Help draft and refine project scopes to ensure all renovation tasks are clearly defined and aligned with project goals.

  • Bidding and Proposal Management:

Collect and review contractor bids, evaluate proposals, and ensure all necessary approvals are obtained before construction begins.

  • Progress Tracking:

Monitor project timelines and milestones to ensure work stays on schedule. Communicate any delays or issues to the Inspector/Project Manager.

  • Budget Monitoring:

Track expenses and costs to ensure projects stay within budget. Alert the Inspector/Project Manager to any potential overruns.

  • Renovation Completion Checks:

Perform final walk-throughs to confirm that all work meets project specifications and quality standards.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices. Provide regular project updates to stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

Act as a liaison between contractors, team members, and other project stakeholders to ensure clear and consistent communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in  Construction Management Engineering Architecture , or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong interest in construction project management and renovation processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology and safety protocols (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a team.
  • Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control principles (preferred).
  • Proficiency in project management software (experience with construction management tools is a plus).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to conduct on-site inspections, including walking, climbing, and carrying materials as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites as required.
